Mechanics

can be a pain in the arse sometimes. Okay, let's start from yesterday. I'll list my problems.

1. Servicing due.
2. Mileage meter (and the smaller km meter below) kapooted (not moving)

Problem 1 was easily solved by sending my car to ENEOS in 1u, with a payment of approximately RM70+. So that's good. When I asked about problem 2 there, they quoted me RM 225, but I declined to fix it there to ask my usual mechanic first. So at my usual mechanic, they quoted RM 65, 'fixed' it, and I drove off, on my way to an appointment; only then realizing that the dang meter ain't moving still. Well, I have to drive to know if it's working right, it's a mileage meter after all. So I called the mechanic halfway through telling him it still ain't moving. So, okay, I went back to the mechanic today. Dropped my car, told him it still ain't working and that I'll go grab lunch first or something, so fix it and I'll come pick my car later. Alright.

When I came back to them, the idiot drove my car back to my home and gave my keys to my grandpa. They couldn't fix the meter today because they don't have stock and they can't buy since it's a Sunday afternoon. That part's still fine. And I had to walk home. When I got home and my grandpa told me they actually fixed the wrong meter - ROAAAAAAAR. They charged me RM 65 to fix my perfectly fine speedometer, idiots. So, burning inside, I drove Tmo (car's name) back to the mechanic and demanded an explanation. It went something like this.. (took place in Cantonese, translated by yours truly)

Me: Hey dude, which meter did you actually fix? I said it's the mileage meter that's not working.

Fat mechanic: There, this one, the wire that controls the needle (indicates speedometer). We have to change the wire to first know if the wire's okay and that the (speedometer) meter moves; if the mileage meter still ain't working after that, it confirms that that the mileage meter's broken.

Me: I didn't say the speedometer (needle) wasn't moving/working, I just said that the mileage meters were not. Why should you even change the wire (for the speedometer) then? How now?

FM: Like that,
diu lo. I only said I'll charge you RM 205 for the meter now because the thing's RM180 and because I know your grandpa quite well, I only take RM 25 for workmanship. I wasn't the one who changed the wire, Ah Poh (the boss) did it. *note this part*

Me: Lemme talk to him then. Is he inside?

FM: *reluctantly smiles and points where he is*

Me: Poh, *explains whole stupid story* How now?

Poh: With all these misunderstandings, he (FM) heard and told me the wrong thing, why not just take off 30 bucks from the wire change?

Me: I didn't say anything wrong, you two got it wrong, so why should I pay RM 60 for something I don't need nor asked for.

Poh: How now? (to FM)

FM: I only said I'll charge RM180 for the meter only.

In my head: ^%^@*&*_&@#@&#_@#*(@*&)( YOU SAID RM 205 @*&#@)($@ But I have mercy and I shall not put you in deeper shit than you already are in with the boss and I. God had mercy on you... through me. Hallelujah! haha

Poh: How bout this, bring the car back and we'll charge RM 140 to fix on the meter instead. Okay?

Me: *hmmm he wanted RM 140 + 65 = RM 205 = the price fat shit asked for, okay la, 5 bucks extra to avoid becoming an angry turtle and getting nasty* Okay then, I'll bring it back when I'm free *applauds Poh the honest mechanic - I think la - in my head*

Sometimes, you really dunno who to trust. Meh~

A bizzare first day.. (17/12)

would barely describe my first day, which was exceedingly illustrious. Here's a list of things I had to do:

1. Arrive early and wait outside the office with other staff since someone forgot the office key.
2. Go shopping with a few colleagues for party packs for....
3. my department Head's surprise farewell party after work.
4. Free kajang satay (from KESAS) for lunch since the Aussie department counterpart head was here and the Head wanted them to try them..
5. Head into the department deputy head's office to hide the party stuff because the department Head was lurking unsuspiciously out of her room.
6. Sneak that stuff up with 2 girls to decorate the Staff activity room..
7. Blow balloons -_- & tie em up in bunches
8. Take group photos with a whole office I just met
9. Write a farewell message to the department Head I just met -_-
10. Play snooker for free in that activity room!
11. Free dinner, obviously from the event (which tasted pretty good)
12. Work OT
13. Received my Free shirt which is to be worn on my second day of work, Saturday - OPEN DAY (what the heck, I've barely grasped anything from today).
14. Board meeting which made me fall asleep (caught by colleague)

Whaddaya think, eventful?

Colleague Quotes
"Wah, your first day's very happening, kesian you. I've worked here so long and everyday's so boring. Too bad you enter during peak time when everyone's too busy to teach you"

"Banyak yang berlaku hari ini, hari awak masuk. Ini tanda tuah!"

"Wah, why your first day like that one?"

.. and of course, the usuals..

"Are you local?"

Me: Yeah, I am. Chinese too!

she replies.. "So, is your mom or dad mixed?"

Me: All Chinese, Chinese as far as I know, nothing mixed!

"I thought you're from Sabah or Sarawak or something..."

Meh -_-

Work

Here comes the job,
oh, how I sob,
Wish I could rob-
you and just make off~
(sang to wedding soundtrack)

Yes, I am starting my job as "Administrative Officer" in the same ol' university tomorrow. 8.30 am - 530 pm (or 9-6, my choice). Job scope's gonna involve planning schedules and possible driver duties (picking international students from airports using company cars). Time to don the long-sleeved shirts and nerd up again =p I know this will be temporary, la la la la~

Today, my two "lah-lings" (Shim, Dorin and my term for "darlings") just left me for Borneo, I am a lonely, sad man. All the best to you two, come back to me when you're free, hehe. It's been an awesome year of wonderfully tasty late night threesomes (Outsiders, do don't misunderstand =p)

*hugs bolster & tears*

XIII - XII - MMIX

"There was soft music playing in the background, and a man's voice sounded through the venue, audible to every attendant that day. Dropping to a gentler tone after a display of fierce zeal and lighthearted humour, he opens an invitation to the floor for those in need. A man rose from his seat with several others he do not recognize, and they courageously presented themselves forward. And then he was reborn, and there was the blue crib."

Thesised

Hello world,
two days from my due date and my life ended (partially) with submitting two booklets of my life in 2009. In the nick of time, it was handed to the coordinator, Dr. Emily with my colleague/friend, Cheryl - after running pass the library (and getting spotted by Suzzane - kantoi). And so goes our year. Now we leave it up to God whether we score.. but damn, I hope God doesn't doze off on us this time >_< *prays*

It's been awesome, gruesome, lonesome and handsome (me). Right after that, it's been going out, and then to the much-loved highlands bordering Pahang-Perak yet again. Guess where? and where I was hiking? And still, I couldn't get much rest since hiking was the main activity and there was night time noise by the owls and nocturnals. Ah well, some old TV shows (that I don't know nor remember, produced before my birth) were actually quite fun to watch, albeit some ulti-lame fight scenes at times. I'm free now, at least I think so - time to catch up with a lot of things, Honours have ended but really, life is only just beginning. Whew. I'll start updating more, some pictures to come - yes, it's from the highland (note the absence of an 's' to denote plurality) again.

See ya around!

The Eve...

.. of my Thesis due date.

Things still missing:

1. a short chunk of discussion to paraphrase
2. Introduction to paraphrase
3. Several citations
4. arranging things
5. MY SUPERVISOR

-_-

Haha, here we go, the glorious dawn of splendor twilight. Or the Splendor twilight of a glorious dawn. Hmmm, "do your work la Jo Kien" (x, 2009).

Presentation-ed

Whee, I have presented my project. Whee. I don't feel the thrill. At least I got some "well done!"s as I was done, despite the dumb computer that caused some problems at the beginning. I was overtime even when I chose to present only selected results. Gosh, if I included everything..... *kapoot*

Some notable moments today... Like as I entered the room I was to present in, the seats which were on the right side were lined with.. ~10 girls. Wow, cheer team! Whee! Until Chris and Tse Yuen came to spoil it all. hahahah, even Dr. Cathy thought they were my cheer team. Yay!

Presentation

Sunday afternoon as I was getting out of bed....

"Hi Jo Kien, just a reminder that your presentation's tomorrow, can I see the slides before you present?"

Dr. Cathy

O_O

I was barely a quarter done with my Results section that was to be presented. So I worked.. and didn't catch my beauty sleep for another 30 hours -_- and then I realized I never got the actual e-mail that was to inform me of the change, but instead got another confusing e-mail that stated the wrong date.

And then I realized my presentation was at 3 pm and not 10 am.

And then Dr. Cathy had a field trip and I can't reach her.

And then Dr. Emily was too busy to talk to me about rescheduling.

And then I can't reach Dr. Juan whom I was to reschedule with.

And then I napped in the post grad room (haha).

And at long last, when I was almost done with my shitty slides, I got a reply on e-mail saying I can delay till Wednesday morning, whee -_-

And so, here I am, in Gloria Jeans, Sunway Pyramid, solo-ing it out as my three darlings (2 dudes and a chick) watch a movie. I stubbornly refused to join for the movie. haha, time to work... in my new RM49.90 cheap brown but quite handsome shoes (old ones just gave way; left shoe finally went Crocodillian on me). I have so much to talk about, but so little time... Just like my Honours Project and Thesis -_-

Data Overload

Most students: "I'm just worried I don't have enough data..."Me as I was finishing experiments: "Shit, dude, it's gonna be hell analyzing all that data"

Me now: Holy crap..

*There were more excel sheets than that. I've been compiling them to more compact, presentable forms.

Post-Bug-Sorting

I have finished sorting and Identifying (to the best of my ability) my invertebrates. Invertebrates = Living things without a vertebrae (a spine/backbone). It was an arduous task, but I braved through it. These pictures were taken after first sorting them from debris, and then sorting them by morphospecies (morphospecies = things that lookalike) into separate vials for separate treatments. Ah, whatever, skip the trash. Basically I played with many dead bugs and here are some pictures.

"After dipping the bug in liquid nitrogen..." Nah, I didn't do that, but Cheryl used it a lot. And I helped her refill it everyday =p

See, the microscope we got to borrow was a particularly HIGH model, which means we can't sit down and look down the scope. So, William and I improvised (we're both short, but yeah, I'm the shortest) and here ya go, bricks.

Since the books for Identifying bugs was not around, I had to rely on sketches and descriptions first.

I've never been known to be good in art.
Scribbles

more..
My favourite shot. The very pair of tweezers I used throughout the entire ordeal, coupled with the holy sorting tray that we use to sort the bugs under the microscope.
70% Ethanol (alcohol), which I affectionately named "Bug-thanol" since it's used for bug-preservation.
An empty box.. which used to be filled with my sample vials. Empty because I finished my work.

Yes, labeling is immensely important.
The Holy Sorting Tray
My View
My Mess
My samples. Yes, there were that many. There are 2 full layers of vials + that incompletely filled third layer. Imagine, I went through each of these thrice.

Friendly Fiendly Conversations

An sms conversation I had with a friend fiend, whose identity I shall protect for obvious reasons. I must concede though, if you are well-informed of my current agenda, you will have no trouble guessing the identity of this friend fiend.

Fiend: Dude, I think I caught your bug. Got headache and watery diarrhoea since last night.

Me: Can be food poisoning, checked with my family, apparently I'm not alone there. Bloated stomach and lost of appetite? Hehe, lasted 4 days for me.

Fiend: I'm guessing it's the same kua.. Shit! I got field work tomorrow and lecture on tues! Kns. Hope d watery shit will stop soon...

Me: Mine wasn't pain, just that shitting lost its appeal for a few days. Felt like pissin through the wrong hole, not ridiculously frequent too. Get well soon =D

Fiend: Right. Shittin frequency has gone down and got no pain except for d headache which I think is related to my sinus. For so I shall bugger u 2ml. Thx.

Me: It's food poisoning, come on, we're all victims of our mischoice of food, let's be merry and show love to each other instead.

Fiend: Yup. Show love 2 u by rippin ur arse wit a penis sword!!

Me: Right. Don't blame me if my arse decides to unleash watery brown diarrhoea on your sorry sword then.

Fiend: Tell it 2 d gorilla.

Me: I did.

You unclean fiend.

*Spelling and punctuations have been edited to allow easier reading.

Alright, back to work for me. Identifying invertebrates.

22 guns

I spent the hours entering my birthday identifying invertebrates in the lab, and I was getting quite into it. At right about 12am, a thought occurred in my mind that went,

"Ah man, why does it have to be my birthday tomorrow, can't I just stay in the lab and continue identifying my bugs?"

That's when I thought to myself again,

"Jo Kien, are you retarded?"

hahaha. I had a great day anyway, thanks guys, and girl (there was only one girl present, hence the singularity) =p Vino~

Okay I admit, I went back into the lab on my birthday morning at 8 to identify a few more bugs before I got out to have some bug-free fun. So what? hahaha. Big thank you to everyone who wished me in the flesh, sms-es from abroad, calls that didn't make it through (whom I got back to), sms-es that I received and Facebook wall wishes (which is apparently the preferred medium, haha). I had a great day (of rest). Best Birthday ever... till now that is =p

Hey low. I have put up new videos on Sparks' blog again, from 'a long time ago' performance, about 6 months ago for City Harvest Church. We did 3 songs:

The Sweet Lil Things She Does

I've been playing with my guitars again lately. It's been nothing short of epic bedroom action.

She's just the sweetest thing alive,
and here comes decalonesome revolutions,
of trudging through storms of strife,
before tasty endings and sweet conclusions

So IN I dive,
deeper than nine to five,
try to live this life,
with a vision to survive

Tralala

Be good,
Only good,
Never be rude.

Venus delivers,
Only to deceive us,
Yearnings call,
All to fall.
Great beginnings?
End with winnings.

Don't fall,
only to crawl.
don't leave,
or forget to retrieve

pho†ograph

Only after today,
through a many happy masquerades,
adversity slips and meets the gay,
can it humble him beneath the shades.

miracles were never a myriad,
like eclipses they are rare and temporary,
you may only just be a period,
be sure that you'll live on in my memory,
born into my heart, but not out of sheer sympathy.

You may be real after all,
Have you ever heard my call?
My mind has feared the evil you protect,
Utmost hypocrisy, that may encroach your house.
Respect is born, a path has been revealed

Go forth and walk that road,
Or regret by not daring to try,
Do angels and demons really exist?

Do I really not believe?
or does His namelessness keep me in a safe zone?
really, I sure want to know U
i hear word of your magnificence and magic
never have I been more curious, than the beguiling wholesomeness U promise

must I abandon the road I walked?
and open my eyes, all over, anew?
did I mention, I barely talked,
ever about my ownself, with U?

mesmerize me with your depthless eyes,
enlighten my mind for I can't see blind.

where should I begin?
at a Cross shelter,
near the beasts?
thence shall I begin my silence.

total silence, in the dark,
or so it seems, since everyone's blind

know that I will be good,
now that you've lit up my life,
over and over, at you I wonder,
why I'm drawn to lightning and thunder?

You... I may be crazy, but I want to try

Is there a light at the end of this tunnel?

... or is it just a cave with a single exit: the one I came in through.

"Lately I've been running on faith,
what else can a poor boy do?
But my world would be right,
when love comes over you

Then we'd go running on faith.
All of our dreams would come true.
And our world would be right,
when love comes over me and you"

".. had an angel of mercy to see me through all in my sins"

"When I lost my grip, and I hit the floor,
yeah I thought I could leave, but couldn't get out the door
I was so sick and tired, of me living a lie
I was wishin that I
would die

Graduation as I felt, wasn't the blast that it was like for everyone else, but nevertheless, I'm glad I went and in a sense, it was satisfying. It must've been, for I was out having some tame fun till 4.30 the following morning =p To each his own. I think this ceremony also serves as a reminder that we're not going to see a bunch of 20+ year olds doing the same assignments every week, going in and out of the same campus 5 times a week, all huddled into a lil lecture hall listening to the same ol' boring guy yappin in front. It's the end of the course. It means we'll see each other less now on, and I guess it's meant to be bittersweet; sweeter for some, and more bitter for the others. I feel I've already graduated 9 months ago. I was frankly feeling quite indifferent to this celebration/ceremony, as much of an ass I may sound like as I type this. Only, I feel a sense of pride and joy when I later heard that my grandma actually stood up and cheered for me loudly from the back rows when I went onstage to receive my scroll; that my family (albeit leaving me there as they went to get dinner) is actually proud of my achievements. And all the congrats I receive from everyone too, thanks. Those who bothered to call when they can't make it, takin the effort to call (Su Ann) or message (Michy!) even from a gazillion miles off. Makes me feel like the ceremony, though insignificant to me, was worth it because it somehow appeared the inverse to people around me. Well, that's that. Bye, BSc. Science (Biotechnology). It was fun while it lasted.

You have to learn to crawl
Before you learn to walk
But I just couldn't listen to all that righteous talk, oh yeah
I was out on the street,
Just tryin' to survive
Scratchin' to stay
Alive "

I probably sound totally inappropriate, but really, as I write this, I'm thinking about something else.

This Saturday

Dorin: So what're you guys going to do for Saturday?
Me: hmmm? I dunno? any plans?
Dorin: You're graduating what, what do you wanna do?
Me: Oh right!

Lynn: hehe, it's okay, I'll see you this Saturday anyway.
Me: Hmmmm? What's on Saturday?
Lynn: Dude, we're graduating!
Me: OH! I forgot!

Suet: Any plans for Saturday yet?
Me: *thinks hard... why the sudden question*
Suet: After graduation ceremony?
Me: Oh! Not yet =D

Shim: Excited, excited, Saturday's coming! (not just once)
Me: *thinks hard if he's meeting his sister/dad or going out somewhere on Saturday* Are you going somewhere?
Shim: -_- Dude, it's your graduation!

I stopped drinking...

Early Grey, because it began to make me sleepy, which defeats the purpose of me drinking tea. As I type this, I sip on a certain "Summer Bouquet" tea acquired by Michelle, and I must say, I'm impressed. The scent is refreshing (perfume?) and it's kinda keeping me up, yay. I want more when you come back next year, Mich =p haha, thanks!

Eve of Merdeka evE

The first cut is the deepest~
Yes it is!

Groove Junction last night instead of No Black Tie, with Dorin, Shim, Jin Seon : 'twas Awesomus. Four man band! (Three men and one lady actually). Talented bunch indeed, each and everyone of them. Literature Review's moving, albeit at turtle pace.

May my sins tonight be forgiven by the millions of hungry people of the world.

See what I'm tryin to say is,

And no matter what the day is,

E-motional breakages

Short one coming up. Last night before I slept, I thought I'd change my new strings onto my then 5-stringed electric guitar, Emma, since her E (first) string was broken... It broke when I tried to tune it after it was quite newly installed, since newly installed strings often go off tune very quickly. That was barely a week into putting that new string on, after the old one snapped. So it took me long enough to get some strings that I'd like to try on, a new brand, from the same ol' shop that's always close. So I got it. So I put on the string and before it was even close to being tuned to it's supposed frequency, snap goes my new string. There ya go, 3 E-strings, only one that was properly used before it broke, Whee.

Instead, I changed my Acoustic strings instead, it's long overdue anyway, whee.

MTV Worldstage..

..was AWESOME!

Yeap, I was there with Shim and Dorin. One of those times when I felt the impact and importance of height (or the lack of it) very profoundly.

The event is covered here, with a near-complete set list, with exception to Raygun's set list.

"As night started to fall, UK rock band Raygun took to the stage and kept the energy moving with a rousing performance of their debut single “Just Because.” They enthralled the audience with a four-song repertoire showcasing the unique vocal styling and glam rock moves of lead singer, Ray Gun."

Full-stop. 3 lines of beating-around-the-bush vagueness. Poor guys, they were actually quite good >_<

This event also marks an the first time our 'uni gang' members got to go to a concert together, which never happened in our previous 3 years of uni-hood. Last but not least, it was Tajang's birthday, which we celebrated (with epic fail-hood) the day before in the uni cafeteria, which also marked Tse Yuen's successful conversion from a Masters to a PhD project, congratooolations.

Moose MUSE

I'm stuck in the lab for super long hours these days, monitoring a boiling procedure. I'm stealing a break now and while I'm at it, lemme share some super sexy MUSE live performances that I feel are Awooooooooooogah! Did I mention I think the videos are super sexy? Did I? Did I?

Quicky

Funny stuff:
=D Mario!

And not so funny stuff:

Caught Tajang drawing this on 'paint' on my com when I was working in the lab, no doubt intended as a tiled wallpaper after that. Intercepted, thwarted and posted. Thanks for the tip on the dessert place though =p Kick ass chocolate fondle fondue. Right then, back to work!

".. wonderful tonight"

Because Shim and Dorin, my girls, are just so wonderful. Haha. I worked late in the lab as usual, expecting them to be the 'dinner-nearby' bunch again, till they sneakily surprised Jin Seon and I. They shopped for stuff in the noon before their lectures and even stocked a bottle of red wine. And then Dorin prepared all the food at night before they sneakily walked to campus (she told me dinner at about 8.30 pm, sneaky girls, pouncing on me like that) carrying that food-filled black paper bag. If that ain't enough, they made me wait outside the staff lounge while they set up inside, cozy lil candle light dinner. That's about when Jin Seon came to join =D Then we checked out the menu: Baked lamb, mashed potatoes, boiled and buttered broccoli and carrot + A bottle of yellow tail red, Cabernet Sauvignon, didn't catch the year, was too happy for details =p

2 pieces of lamb, plenty of vegetables, large splats of mashed potato and a bottle of wine later, we were all happy and full. Packed up, stoned a lil while I reminisced all that lil magic. Then I sent them home, and home I was.. home I am =)

"Its time to go home now
And Ive got an aching head
So I give her the car keys
She helps me to bed
And then I tell her
As I turn out the light
I say my darling, you were wonderful tonight
Oh my darling, you were wonderful tonight"
(Clapton, on our way home)

Love you girls =p

"You're the world's unluckiest person"

.. Tajang's words echo in my head throughout the entire night. It was one of those nights where everything that could go against you, will go against you.

It was a fine day until I decided to have dinner with the lab people in Section 14 and hence, waited for lady Shen to come to campus before we set out. I missed lunch and was fungry starving by 7 pm. Unfortunately, there were problems with her car and we only left campus at about 8 pm. Ouch. Then comes the traffic jam in SS2. Followed by the restaurant we dined at.

3 of us reached first and ordered earlier, followed by the next 3 of us, including me. Everyone got their food except me. I ordered the same thing as two of them who arrived earlier and yet somehow, after multiple reminders to the waiters/waitresses/manager, they give me the nod/concerned face before bustling away and never returning with my food. All I got was my cendol (which wasn't bad). This place was Piccadilly, in Millenium Square, Section 14. After an hour of waiting, I've had enough (and so did everyone else, food-wise, I mean) and decided to leave after checking, even if the damned food did arrive with the freakin bill - No, I wasn't gonna pay for it nor eat that shit. To be fair, it's a nice place and no one complained of their food (in fact, they probably just felt like it'd be adding insult to injury if they complimented it while I was so disgruntled) and my order probably just was one of those that got mixed up with another table. But, heck, doesn't make me feel much better about it.

So, that's part 1. And then I thought, okay lemme go grab some fast food - McD's. The first chain I reached in SS15 was packed to the brim with loads of people queueing, a long, slow drive-thru queue and almost no parking. So we left and went for the branch facing Inti college and behold, I was finally served a Big Mac with fries and drink, serviettes even, in good time. Times like this makes you appreciate your fast food chains much more than usual. It's almost like God's giving me signs telling me to diet. Nah ah. hahaha

Because of all those delays, I left my bag and laptop in the lab and decided to not go through the hassle of liaising with the guards to permit me entry to retrieve them from the lab since by the time I dropped my girls home it's already past 12 am. And then... Well, least we've got a weekend planned, stocked up on DVDs =p

S0X1S Lamps

Up in Cameron's (28/6 - 3/7), it got quite boring for me some nights. I guess this is what you'd end up doing if you had S0X1S in hand and lamp before you. I just kept shooting the same lamp with different settings and used very low exposure time (that's why the background's dark) for fun.

Ah well, hope this lights up your day =D

The Missing Toitle

Toitle: An annoying way to pronounce 'turtle'. E.g. Toy-tle.

Where have I been? Around, in the lab mostly, grinding, penetrating and expelling liquids out of my projectile in my hand.
My 2-3 days of penetration with the penetrometer. There's a leaf between the white blocks.
..and the expelling liquids from the tool in my hand... This is freaking tough, because at the end of the syringe there's a filter.. it clogs up quickly simply because my water is very sedimented. They're freaking expensive and I try to squeeze as much water through it before it can't be used.. ouch...
See how hard I tried? I spent a few nights on this.. gosh.. memories I don't wanna remember >_< Can you see the circular imprints the syringes have done to me?
This hand too.. -_- They're a lot more painful than they look. hahaha..

Think research in the lab is just sitting down and doing light, non-physically demanding things? THINK A-FREAKING-GAIN!

And this even excludes the pain of hiking in and out of our hard-to-access sites to acquire samples.. pfft.. On the thesis, it would appear as simple lines like.. "Samples were collected from bla on the bla of July" or even "..the water samples were painstakingly filtered using a syringe through a 0.45 micrometer cellulose acetate filter". Booo..

This was in the newly constructed toilet in the budget Inn we usually stay in Cameron Highlands. De Coleur Inn, I think. Cozy place =p
A knife I got from Cameron's which I plan to murder people with. Hmmm.. It's getting a lil blunt, I think I need to sharpen it.
When my turtle in the lab gets hungry.. Geez, no wonder my leaves I put out to dry lost so much mass.. *spanks turtle*
Playful, vain lil guy ain't he? hahah, must've gotten jealous watching Dodo use her laptop.

Lookie at this..Think it's bad white balance on my phone's part? NO! This cat in Rock Cafe (Medan), Sunway, is really GREEN! Wonder what the heck happened to it.. We named it Chlorocat! ('chloro' as in chlorophyll).

Meow~ Theories: 1. It fell asleep in an air vent for a room where they spray cars. Makes sense since there are so many mechanics and car-mod things around the area. Green paint (Tajang). 2. It's been drinking from/It fell into the algae-infested pond in the cafe, and the algae is gettin stuck/living on its fur (Me). 3. It's been starving and evolved to photosynthesize, survival strategy (Me). It's of mixed parentage. It's father was a plant (Tajang, Tse Yuen and I).
Have I ever posted this?
Dorin's dodolings doodlings
Two girls (hmmm) who decided to play with the vending machine because they were too bored studying for the exams... =p Comelnya. hahaha
Monkeys on random cars in my uni's free carpark. haha
Monkey1: Dude, check out this new hard, short tree I'm on!
Monkey2: Yeah, check mine out! It's almost green~! Now, where's the fruit?

Or...

Monkey1: Shit, this one's locked, how're we gonna get a joy ride like that, dude?
Monkey2: I dunno, maybe we can break a window? There's a dude there (me) pointing his stupid camera phone at us though, hold it.

Mmmm.. makes me want it again. haha, the KL outing =p
These.. are from my first piano book *blush* So cute right? hahaha

L-R: Sis, Aunt, Uncle (no, Aunt and Uncle are not married) and Mom.

Hmmm..
Don't you think he's actually got quite feminine features?
Weirdo
Throughout the entire photoset, he was waiting for (I forgot who) X to pass him the phone to talk. pfft..
My attempt at literature review which I wrote on the lab's whiteboard as my status.. which Somebody doodled and.. ah well
Someone's lil feet not reaching the ground? Teehee~
You won't believe this, it's a whole band of POLICE on stage playing songs very adeptly. Songs like Hotel California, Yue Liang Dai Biao Wo de Xing etc etc. They weren't even chinese >_< again ="p" pictures ="p" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXoOefADrag8VJmJ2D29Ug5UCWfq_n_GbfMyqZ2cEjV8bgmRcUKhoUmXV4DEUAIE6gSNi50Dq1jJT9D4ItBnay25G-oVB4_4aiMbFN_dS0Lhvf5ubPOqjpEI85O1ksJFeVlAtCTxXBOxQ/s1600-h/DSC01512.JPG">Uncap all these (with the help of Tze Wei and Michael, thank you very much), wash them, dry them, acid wash them, dry them again and cap them all T_T You have no idea... no idea at all.
Yes, I had to hunt for big funnels to aid rainwater-collection. This picture was taken to celebrate my success in finally finding enough of them, I had to hunt more than 6 or 7 lil sundry shops, which seem to stock a few, but never many of them. Still much better than them overrated Carrefour, Giants and Juscos, pfft.
A new addition to my car.. Two actually, the other one's smaller =D I know it's gay, but come on, I go to Cameron's so much I think I really should make my car represent it better.
Taken in Poing's house in our recent game night (Poing came and left, aww) using her very shiny table =D Jac and Mich, the balls, always seen together.
This was in Niah in my recent Niah-Miri trip, more to come when I get pictures. Tony and I were the 'macho bbq men' who set up the fire and cooked em for our lucky ladies =p Macho Man Jo got aching hands the next day for fanning the fire too vigorously tho =_= Because we didn't really have a nice object to fan with, lousy flimsy cardboards, breaking tray, newspaper etc -_- Gotta thank dodo and family for preparing stuff for this bbq (and the whole trip) though, really nice of them =D

In Miri, the night before I returned with a hangover in the plane. I drank quite a bit to get high because I don't feel the happy highness coming in, guess I overdid it. haha.. For once I looked in the mirror and saw I was turning RED! I was kinda happy cuz it never usually happens, so I took two pictures, what a camwhore. hahah
Camwhore indeed, yikes >_< "Blight Light" in Redbox, Curve. Hmmm.. BRIGHT LIGHTS, COME ON
Guess what's that? It's like a sausage, with crushed leaves inside. Sonja's idea. A brand new pair of pantyhose and some leaves inside to be crushed..

Sonja: So this is what researchers do after hours huh, playing with pantyhose and all.. haha
Me: *awkward* mm hmmm..
Sonja: hey, don't worry, they won't catch us at this hour.
Me: -_-"

Just random pictures accumulating in my phone before I get the pictures for my trips back =p
